Other Rates and Fees:

Textbooks and Workbooks: In addition to the basic fees, a rate of $25 per 50 pages is required to process each textbook or workbook submitted for analysis, due to more extensive pre-processing requirements.

Articles, selections and passages: Measurement fees for text types other than books vary based on requirements, as well as the publisher's application for the Lexile measures. Once all requirements are established and sample files have been reviewed, MetaMetrics will provide a firm price for the project.

Rush Fees: Expedited processing is available for measurement projects requiring a less than standard turnaround. Based on requirements, a per-text rush fee will be established. Acceptance of this additional fee will guarantee delivery of the Lexile measure by the agreed-upon date.

Transcription Services: Occasionally, it is necessary to transcribe a hard-copy text due to extensive use of graphical fonts or highly illustrative layouts. Such texts will incur an additional rate of $25 per 30 minutes of work to convert the text for analysis. (This rate supersedes the basic fee for scanner-based conversion services.)

Special Handling: In rare cases, an editorial rate of $25 per 30 minutes of work may be necessary to accommodate non-standard file submissions. Publishers will be given the option of resubmitting files in a standard format or accepting the additional charges.
