What to do about books without Lexiles

If you can’t find a particular book in our Lexile BookBag search, then it has not been measured. Many books do not have Lexile measures yet. Usually about 40% of the collection in a typical elementary school library has been measured. This percentage is lower for middle and high school catalogs. Fortunately, new books are constantly being measured. If you notice some unmeasured books, please contact the book’s publisher and encourage them to send their books to us. The publisher will need the title, author, and ISBN for each book. A list of contact information for some common children's publishers is available on the Lexile Framework web site.
